Amanda Werner is currently a senior at San Francisco State University, but she is a student who has experience and knowledge far beyond her years. She graduated as valedictorian of her high class of 519 seniors, scored a 2270 on her SATs, perfect 800s on multiple SAT II exams, and flawless 5s on all TEN AP tests she has taken--if there is one thing Amanda is an expert in, it is testing and academics. She feels her age allows her to connect to her students in a unique and important way; her high school experience is still close enough for her to remember it clearly, enabling her to closely relate to students' struggles and triumphs.

Amanda has been a tutor for four years, helping students excel in a variety of subjects. She believes a key part of doing well in school is to understand how tests themselves work. She endeavors to show her students how tests are structured and what kind of knowledge they are designed to elicit, letting off some of the immense pressure of test-taking. She helps them to relax and let their true knowledge show.
