Brendan Thomason
Educational Consultant
Brendan left for Indiana University in 1995 positive that medical school was in his future. Plans changed after his first microbiology class; the allure of the logical problem solving and creativity inherent in the basic sciences was too great to pass up. Brendan graduated in May of 1999 with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology (and a minor in Spanish) and began his graduate studies at the University of Michigan the following fall. He earned a Ph.D. (also in Microbiology) in 2005 and currently does biological research for the Navy in the Washington, D.C. area.
A self-described "life-long learner," Brendan believes that the most important skill students can perfect is the ability to think for themselves, and it is his privilege to help current students realize their educational dreams.
