Christina Stawicki

Christina Stawicki has lived her entire life in Southern California. She graduated from Bishop Amat High School eleventh in her class of 368 students, was a member of both the National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation, and was recognized as a National Hispanic Scholar for her performance on the PSAT.

Christina is very familiar with all aspects of the college admissions process. As a high school senior, she applied to twelve universities nationwide and gained admission to ten of those including such schools as the University of Notre Dame, University of Southern California, Loyola Marymount University, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, and the University of Washington. Not only was she admitted to most schools, she was also offered scholarships and grants at a majority of them.

With a passion for education and social justice, Christina set her sights on helping underserved youth gain greater educational opportunities. She graduated cum laude from Loyola Marymount University after three years of study, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Mathematics. Christina earned her Elementary Education Teaching Credential from the state of California through LMU's School of Education. Aside from tutoring, she works with fifth grade students during the traditional school year sessions and high school students from her alma mater during summer school sessions.

In addition to teaching, Christina enjoys being outdoors, dancing, scrapbooking, photography, reading, watching movies, and of course spending time with those she loves.
