Colleen Ganley
Educational Consultant

Colleen grew up in suburban Massachusetts and was privileged to have many people at her school looking out for her when it came to applying to colleges. As a first generation college applicant, she was challenged throughout the entire process, from taking the SATs, to filing out applications, to writing essays.

All of her work paid off, and she graduated summa cum laude and with honors from Wheaton College last May with a degree in Psychology, an elementary teaching license, and a minor in mathematics. Currently she is enrolled in a PhD program at Boston College for Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology where she focuses on doing research to inform teachers and school systems, specifically in the area of mathematics teaching and learning.

In college she was a student advisor to incoming freshmen, helping them to become accustomed to life at college and helping them to choose their courses. Recently, she has been tutoring college students for the GRE exam, teaching math to sixth grade girls at a summer camp, editing math textbooks, and doing research on the math skills of fourth graders.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, photography, traveling, dancing, volunteering, and spending time with her family and friends.
