Ian Burch
Educational Consultant

Ian Burch serves as Chaplain and Bereavement Counselor for a small hospice in downtown Chicago. While he loves his work, his secret dream job is to be a High School English teacher. To this end, he served as a writing tutor for the Honors Curriculum while earning his Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies and Religion at Gustavus Adolphus College. He then attended the Lutheran School of Theology on a full scholarship. While there he edited the campus newspaper and wrote editorial for same. He has also developed and edited marketing copy for a small firm downtown while earning his Master of Divinity degree. Ian has written and edited education curricula for Augsburg Fortress Publishing House on several occasions. He also moonlighted as an editor for many, many Masters theses--even the footnotes! For some strange reason, Ian is one of those odd ducks for whom grammar is exciting. Who knew?

In his spare time, Ian plays the violin in a small community orchestra and reads everything he can.
