Joseph Park
Educational Consultant

While attending the University of Chicago, Joseph Park kept himself very busy with work, sports, and school clubs. He held at least 2 jobs while tackling a full courseload each year and also coordinated intramural teams in basketball, soccer, and softball. He served as Editor for Zoom Magazine, a university publication that targets issues surrounding Asian students, and as Social Chair for the Asian Students Union, the largest Asian-oriented organization in the university.

After graduating in 1999 with a B.A. in Economics, Joe worked for an economic consulting firm. The work environment was very academic, as many of the top professionals were also professors at top universities in Chicago. Here, as he had in school, he learned the importance of prioritizing and upholding responsibility.

He left the firm in 2002 and, since then, has put his efforts into exploring his many other talents. In doing so, Joe discovered a talent for marketing and is currently working as an event promoter for a NY based firm that plans and promotes events in Chicago. He also works as a contract consultant for a private research firm in Chicago and as an Educational Consultant for Vanguard Education Consulting.

In his spare time, Joe loves to travel and has been all over the world. Within the past 3 years, he has traveled to Argentina, France, and Japan. He is also planning a trip to South Korea for 2003. In the little time he has left after all of the above, Joe is studying for the GMAT and is planning to take the test early next year.
