Michael Lin

Michael Lin is a recent graduate of the University of California Berkeley. He has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. Michael spent the months following graduation traveling, cruising through various countries in Asia before staying in Beijing, China for a month and a half studying Mandarin Chinese. His next step is most likely law school, and he's been studying hard for the LSAT.

Michael loves the interaction that comes with tutoring, as well as the satisfaction it brings him. He says there's just something about helping out younger kids that honestly makes him happy. He spent the last three years in school doing exactly that as an OASES (Oakland Asian Student Educational Services) volunteer tutor/mentor, an organization of UC Berkeley students tutoring and helping local high school students. He would see his students every week, tutoring them in various academic subjects and preparing them for various SAT tests. He also helped prepare them as much as possible for the college admissions process.

Michael had near-perfect scores on his own SAT test, and has a wealth of tutoring experience. He feels he can pass on the knowledge and skills he used on the test, as well as help students study, all in order to improve their scores and provide as much help as possible.
