Michelle Barbeau

Michelle Barbeau graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara this past June with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Professional Writing. There, she tutored undergraduates in writing for two years and earned second place in UCSB's business writing competition. She has also completed over 60 hours of pre-professional teaching in high school classrooms. With parents who never went to college, Michelle clearly remembers struggling through the college application process and the frustration of having to do it on her own. She loves to lend a helping hand to students in similar situations that are going through this often complicated process.

Michelle spends her spare time tutoring and reading American classics, while she works as a web content editor in her hometown of San Diego. In a few years, she plans on becoming a life-changing high school teacher or counselor.
