Michele L.
Lucia, Ed.D. has worked
with high school students for more than 10 years. Before founding Vanguard
Education Consulting, Michele worked for both Kaplan Educational
Centers and The Princeton Review. She has dedicated herself to helping
students realize their educational dreams, and is keenly aware of the
importance of standardized exams and the rigors of the college application
process. Having taught at every grade level from seventh through college,
she is both an experienced and dedicated mentor for high school students
and their families.Michele holds
a Masters Degree and a Doctorate in Education, both from Vanderbilt University.
She completed her undergraduate work at Cornell University, and holds
a Bachelor of Arts degree with cum laude and honors distinctions. She
remains active with the alumni groups at both schools, serving as a local
admissions interviewer and a representative at both local and national
events. Michele is a published educational researcher, as well as a frequent
speaker at both regional and national educational conferences. She recently
joined the staff of the University of South Carolina, as an adjunct professor
specializing in curriculum and development. She has also taught both undergraduate
and graduate level courses in education at St. Mary's College of Education
and Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
